This scarf was created for the Cal Crochet A Long Design-a-Scarf Challenge 2022. The colours of the yarn and the time of year that we are slowly entering, Autumn, inspired the name of this shawl. The yarn is called Crisp Apple and Crisp Autumn. The purples of the yarn reminded me of plums and orchard fruits ready for harvest. There is a handy pdf of the pattern at the bottom.

Difficulty
Using US terminology throughout with double crochet and chain stitches.
Yarn and Notions:
Yarn: 4ply (fingering) yarn, 800 meters / 875 yards in total
I used two balls of Hobbii Colour Dream which is a wool yarn in a 400 meter / 100g ball in colour 26, Crisp Apple and colour 05, Crisp Autumn
Hook: 4mm / G-6
Tapestry or darning needle to sew in ends
Measurements
The shawl is 127 cm / 50 inches across the long edge (the wingspan), 62 cm / 24.5 inches deep and 92 cm / 36 inches from corner of the wingspan to the centre point.

Finishing
As my yarn was 100% wool I wet blocked the shawl out to the measurements shown above. I would recommend blocking your shawl to really get the most out of the stitch pattern and to create the shape. Please refer to the content of your yarn to determine which method is most suitable. There is lots of advice online or at your local yarn shop.
